Vst Plugin Location

Anyways most of the tuts I have seen, are pretty old, and tell LMMS newbies like me, to put the VST's in LMMS plug ins folder.
But in this video...'How to use VST plug ins to make Indian instrumental sound loops for free.' I noticed the tutorial guy had his VSTs in a Desktop folder.
My question is, could I Make a custom folder for my Indian Dreams Vst and others etc. and put it anywhere, on my Notebook and link LMMS to it in the settings menu?
Or do I have to put the Indian Dreams Vst and others etc, in the same LMMS plug ins folder, where all the default LMMS plug in stuff is, so I wouldn't confuse myself and have to switch back and forth?
After writing this confusing scenario, I'm just 'Beaned.' ( Thats my slang by the way. Original huh?)
I'm using LMMS 64 Bit on Windows 7 64 bit.
Hope you guys can help. Bye.
How does Cakewalk recommend that Cakewalk VST plugins be managed? I'm aware that the Advanced Install VST location option has been eliminated (greyed out). /list-of-free-vst-plugins.html. See Johathan Sasor's reply to a previous post below. I've updated that registry entry to point to my preferred Cakewalk VST plugin folder. So I think I've got that handled.
TROUBLESHOOTING Missing audio files or VST / AU plugins. If you open a project and some, or all, Channel buttons are red or a plugin instrument is replaced with an empty channel (and you are sure it's not a 'trial' plugin), this means the samples or instruments nominated for those channels can't be found. You will have been shown a pop-up message about missing data when the project was loaded. VST Plug-Ins organized into subfolders, directly accessible from the Favorites Sidebar Some VST Plug-Ins Shortcuts in the Analysis Group Additional Tip: You can also choose to add several folders to the favorite bar instead of a single one, to access directly the mostly used plug-ins that you use most of the time.
But, I've noticed that Cakewalk is also installing a lot of VST plugins in two other folders: (c:program filesCakewalkshared utilitiesInternal and C:Program FilesCakewalkShared Plugins). So I'm ending up with two copies of a lot of plugins for ones I'd previously installed in my preferred Cakewalk VST plugin folder. Many of these were installed with SONAR Platinum and earlier versions as I'm a long time SONAR user. What I'm currently doing is excluding the duplicate plugins using the Plugin Manager. So far I've got 10 disabled VST2s.

- John, It was a bit issue of Cubase LE 5 is 32 bit and I was trying to use 64 bit VST Plugins. When I went to old laptop(32bit) it all still worked with Pro Tools Express. I am upgrading to Cubase 7.7 Artist at 64bit and will install all my toontrack plugins at 64 bit as well.

PS: Are the Softube plugins that were included in Platinum included in Cakewalk? I noticed that they are on my duplicate plugins list. And is BREVERB not included? It's not on my duplicate list?
